Cremation Services By The Sea initiates the death record and shares it with the designated certifying physician. Once signed, the record is forwarded to the state and county for review. Upon a approval from theses governing bodies, the registration of the death certificate becomes finalized. Only at that time can death certificates be ordered and finally issued on your behalf. If there is a delay from any of the above parties, there will be a delay in the filing and registration process.
Florida Law Prohibits Cremation To Be Completed Without The Death Certificate Filing Process To Reach Its' "Registered Complete" Process! No Exceptions. This process can take up to 10 business days or more to reach certification if "your doctor" fails to sign in a timely fashion.
Cause of death reflected on a death record can only be utilized for: Life Insurance Claims, Pension Claims, Annuities or for Family Retention.
