Death certificates are legal documents which are required to prove that a death has occurred. No, you can not make photo copies! Cremation Services By The Sea initiates the death record and shares it with the designated certifying physician.

Once the death certificate is signed, the record is forwarded to the state and local county offices for review. Upon a approval from theses governing bodies, the registration of the death certificate becomes finalized. Only at that time can death certificates be ordered and finally issued on your behalf. If there is a delay from any of the above parties, there will be a delay in the filing and registration process.

Florida Law Prohibits Cremation To Be Completed Without The Death Certificate Filing Process To Reach Its' "Registered Complete" Process! No Exceptions.

This process can take up to 10 business days or more to reach certification if "your doctor" fails to sign in a timely fashion.

Death Certificates with Cause of Death.

Cause of death reflected on a death record can only be utilized for: Life Insurance Claims, Pension Claims, Annuities or for Family Retention. Florida has strict regulations as to who can order this version. If you are not the mother, father, brother, sister, son, daughter or grandparent of the deceased, you will be required to prove proof of need by providing a Last Will, Life Insurance Policy or Court Order for our firm to order this version.

Restricted access to the public and can only be obtained by those listed above. Charge for each death certificate is $15 - we charge you for our services in obtaining death certificates.

Death Certificates without Cause of Death

Most commonly required version of the death certificate. This version will be required for each institution as follows: Filing Probate, Transfer of a Title / Deed, Checking Accounts, Bank Accounts, Stocks / Bonds, Mutual Funds and Other Assets which will require a legally registered proof of death to exchange ownership custody.

Can be ordered by anyone and does not expose cause of death or social security information. The specific uses outlined above will require this version. We charge you for our services in obtaining death certificates. $15 each.
